Do you know the enemy?
Do you know your enemy?
Well, gotta know the enemy, rah-eh- Green Day
There are four factors that have been linked to the overwhelming majority of chronic diseases (cancer, autoimmunity, cardiovascular disease, metabolic diseases, susceptibility to infections, etc.) that plague humankind today. They are:
Gut Dysbiosis
High Insulin levels
Metabolic Syndrome
Low Vitamin D levels
It is critical to take note that a common characteristic that unite the first three on this list is that they are highly responsive to food and exercise. All four are united in that each individual can consciously (and strongly) influence these factors through daily habits and choices.
Side note: if we were to include a fifth “horseman” it would be smoking. DON’T SMOKE!
Another integral grouping of four that we must become aware of are the four steps that have been linked with success:
Knowledge
Decision
Action
Results
